The Genevan wealth manager is losing the chief executive of its Singapore bank. The move follows a shakeup last year, and as the firm beefs up in the region.

Dominique Jooris is leaving Pictet to explore other professional opportunities, the Swiss bank said on Tuesday. He had been Pictet's chief executive in Singapore since joining from Goldman Sachs in 2016.

The move follows a shakeout initiated last year with the entrance of heavy-hitter Fong Seng Tee last yearPictet is appointing Sharon Chou (pictured below) to replace Jooris, effective immediately. She was most recently deputy CEO of wealth management in Asia, while also overseeing Pictet's Hong Kong branch.

Beefing Up With New Roles

Jooris will aid the transition to Chou, who will continue to report to Tee, until mid-year, Pictet said. The wealth arm is co-led by Boris Collardi, who joined Pictet as a partner nearly three years ago, and by Marc Pictet.

The bank is also hiring Kian Seng Yap and Rayson Tan as finance and risk chief in the region, respectively. Both are new roles, based in Singapore. Yap joins from UBS, where he was a financial controller at the Swiss giant's wealth arm. Tan is an ex-Credit Suisse banker who joins Pictet after a brief stint Revolut, as reported in November.
